Mint Toothpaste Alternatives

Have issues with mint toothpaste? You are not the only one! There are many people that simply do not like mint ANYthing! So, when it comes to brushing your teeth you may think you’re at a loss for options. You aren’t!
We will offer a few options to consider when it comes to mint alternatives but if you are shopping around on your own, keep in mind the first Dental Tip!
DENTAL TIP: All toothpastes with the ADA Seal of Acceptance must contain fluoride.
Now, on to the toothpaste options. Not all listed have the ADA Seal of Acceptance.
Tom’s of Maine offers a few varieties to choose from. The have several different mint flavors such as Spearmint or Wintermint which MIGHT be a better fit for those with an aversion to mint as it is a less intense mint. However, they also have Cinnamon Clove for those that simply must stay away from mint. * Not all Tom’s of Maine contain fluoride.
Twice Toothpaste comes to us from…..Lenny Kravitz! Yes, he, and his partners, have a line of oral care products and people rave about the Calming Vanilla Lavender Mint. While Mint is in the title, reviews indicate the intensity is barely there.
DENTAL TIP: Flavoring agents that cause or contribute to tooth decay (e.g., sugar) may not be contained in any ADA-Accepted toothpaste.
Colgate Toothpaste. Colgate has many different flavors of toothpaste that are
alternatives to mint! Many would need to be sourced from Amazon.

Natural Extracts Ultimate Fresh Lemon
Herbal Toothpaste
Salt Neem
Clove
Crest Toothpaste. Crest offers one adult toothpaste that is non-mint. Crest Complete Whitening Plus Cinnamon Expressions.
As you can see, there are alternatives out there if you simply can not stand the taste of mint or have a mint allergy. They aren’t as widely sold in big box stores or drug stores but you can find many of them online either straight from the source or via Amazon.
